While the industry has faced many problems in the past, its recent resurgence has created an environment for growth. It has improved the image of the industry, strengthened markets, and increased consumer confidence. As a result, the industry has been able to capture more demand and compete with other hospitality industries. However, there are still issues with the industry. Moreover, the involvement of consumer protection agencies led to stricter regulations and enforcement.

The timeshare industry is largely dominated by the top four manufacturers. These companies hold 55% of the global market share. They have been introducing diversified Vacation Ownership products, which appeal to savvy travelers.

The timeshare industry has seen substantial growth in the last two decades, and it is projected to continue to grow in the future. The demand for timeshare-vacation clubs is strong, especially among millennials and Gen X. This group of people is expected to become the largest travel segment in the next several years.

The resurgence of the timeshare industry was driven by the increase in health and wellness travel. In particular, the growing trend in vacation ownership is expected to attract millennials to the travel industry, particularly those who are planning to retire. Likewise, the increasing number of young adults who are starting families will help the industry.

The timeshare industry is expected to grow substantially, and it must compete with other hospitality industries. However, the industry needs to make substantive changes in order to address these issues. Among other factors, the industry must compete with lifetime ownership and the online vacation marketplace.

A large proportion of the population owns a timeshare, but most visit the property only once or twice a year. Due to the lack of an emotional connection, it can be easy to apathy and a lack of care.
